• In the U.S., one out of every three, mostly fatherless, Black male children born in this decade will end up in prison.
• More Black men are in prison today than were held in slavery in 1850.
• More than half of Black males in the U.S. did not receive diplomas in 2005/2006.
• Only 5% of all college students enrolled in the United States are African American males.
• Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Delaware, Georgia, Wisconsin and South Carolina graduated fewer Black males with their peer group than the national average.
